Baking soda DOES NOT cure cancer. There isn't a single double blind controlled study that even begins to prove this point. Sorry but I'm activating bitch mode here because I fucking can't stand pseudoscience that ends up harming people. You've got other whackadoodles like Mercola and Mike Adams (Natural News) selling the bullshit that sugar causes cancer and to cut out all sugar. But don't forget, conspiracy tards are on and on about chemtrails and vaccines giving us cancer. But wait, there's Monsanto, one of 13 companies selling GE seeds, and their product Round Up (glyphosate which is manufactured by 24 companies around the world and has repeatedly been proven to be safe when used properly) that causes cancer.

My mother died at age 59 of leukemia. She went through the severest kind of chemotherapy possible, just one step below a bone marrow transplant. It was her habit to brush her teeth with baking soda. She did this all her life and continued through all her treatments. If there is any benefit to Sodium Bicarbonate as a cancer cure or preventive, I never saw it.

 

The "treatment" is about injecting baking soda directly into the tumor to "reduce the acidity" (enter the rise of the equally bullshit alkaline diet) of the cancer. The thought is that cancer is caused by fungus because cancer tumors can be white. While is nonsense since cancer tumors can also be green, red, brown, black, etc. Of course actual medical science knows that cancer isn't a singular thing but an umbrella of conditions that ultimately result in malignant tumor growth whose cause can vary greatly. What the morons (fucking dipshits is more like it) that promote this don't realize is that our body's natural pH level is around 7.35-7.45. The body self regulates that. If we were to take in too much bicarbonate, our blood would turn alkaline and we would die (very painfully mind you). Your kidneys normally keep the pH level pretty static but the shit promoted "doctors" like in the article cited by the OP are actually not tested, not documented other than a singular mice/rat study and just promotes more of the logical fallacy of the appeal to nature.

Chemo fucking sucks. No question about it. But it does work. It, along with radiation and surgery are the only 3 time proven methods for cancer treatment. Yes, diet and overall health play a big role. Yes, "alternative" therapies like cannabis oils can help stop tumor growth (but not eliminate and it's dependent on the cancer). But you see this "natural" living bullshit come to the forefront and a bunch of crazy ideas come out of the woodwork and it's actually harming people. Just look at the stupidity that is the anti-vaxx movement and the shit they believe in. Look at what frauds like Food Babe / Vani Hari, Joseph Mercola, Dr. Tenpenny, Mike Adams, David Wolfe and their ilk have spawned. Don't even get me started on David Icke.
